Champion of Champions Final Sunday 5th October 2025 Gailes Links
On an Autumn Day with wind and rain showers, the task of playing Gailes Links wouldn’t be easy for the players.
The final between Gordon Sangster of (Cathkin Braes) and Paul James (Dougalston), after 4 holes the game was evenly matched, only to find Gordon’s short game being the difference up to the turn, giving him a four shot lead after 9 holes, both players were playing good golf on a course that was in excellent condition, however, Gordon closed the game out at the 13 th for his 3rd Champion of Champions title, (2025, 2023, and 2012).
Thanks to Glasgow GC for allowing us to play our final over a testing track which was in lovely condition, and to the clubhouse staff for looking after us. Thanks also to President Vic for acting rules official and to Willie, for looking after the event and ensuring the games were played on time, allowing us to have the final played on time.
