Match report -

On a lovely Summers afternoon, on a course in its usual excellent condition, The Glasgow Golf Union’s Annual Junior Strokeplay Championship took place at Bishopbriggs Golf Club, which was its usual hospitable self. The course did hold a few surprises for those unfamiliar with the layout and even for some of the 'home' players. Drop your concentration and Bishopbriggs will find you out and reward you with a double bogey - or worse, as some competitors found out!

The Scratch competition was won by Cameron Burns of Glasgow Golf Club with a splendid 2 under par 69 to lead the field home by 6 strokes.
The Handicap Competition was won by Edward McGonagle of Dougalston Golf Club, the youngest competitor in the field and obviously one to watch for the future.
