Seniors' Championship

Wednesday, 7th of May, saw the Seniors’ Championship at Gailes. From early morning the weather was magnificent, blue skies above, dry green grass below and just a touch of wind to add spice to the mix.

The first game out contained Gordon Fuller of Ralston attempting to defend his title as Seniors’ Champion. Some 3 hours later he posted a final score of 76. This score stood at the top of the leaderboard all day only being challenged by 79’s returned by Alex Weir of Cawder, John Douglas of Ralston, and Tom McCombe of Glasgow.  In the last game of the day David Sergeant of Bishopbriggs was going well but dropped shots at the last two holes to finish with a 77.

So congratulations again to Gordon on repeating his victory of last year -- can he make it three in a row?
