Youth Team Competition
Glasgow Golf Union held its Annual Youth Team Tournament at Ralston Golf Club when Youth Teams from all over Scotland and the North of England competed for this prestigious trophy on Saturday 15th September 2007.
The winners of the Team Trophy for the third year in succession were the team from Northumberland, represented by:-
Phillip Ridden - City of Newcastle
Nick Madison - City of Newcastle
Daniel Shevill - Prudhoe
The winning team scores were:-
Northumberland - 278
Renfrewshire - 284
Glasgow - 286
In the individual competition, Northumberland also came out top with Phillip Ridden of the City of Newcastle Golf Club winning with a two round score of 68 – 70 = 138.
The leading individual competitors were:-
Phillip Ridden - City of Newcastle: 68 – 70 = 138
David Henderson - Kilmacolm: 69 – 70 = 139
Ben Sloan - Cathkin Braes: 70 – 71 = 141
Michael Campbell - Paisley: 70 – 72 = 142
Chris Loughlin - Cawder: 69 – 73 = 142
